Alice was great, venue was horrible.

CFL Preseason is truly ageless, earning my five stars. The band is incredible, and the haunted castle set was great. Third year in a row, and he is in fine form. The venue, however, is a whole other story. It does not seem finished yet. There is no rise to the seating so virtually every seat is obstructed by standers. We were eighth row and couldn't see anything unless we wanted to stand for three hours. A stadium style rise would go a long way to mitigating this. I would rather have been way back on the lawn. At least that's above the crowd and you can see the performers. No roof, so, if it rains, you're getting wet. No jumbotrons, so if you can't see, there's nothing to look at. The chairs are small and flimsy folding chairs that are zip tied together. Real bush league. Traffic to get into the venue was horrendous. We waited an hour on the main road into the venue, the one that goes over Rt. 95., and then another half hour on the road that gets you to the parking lot. The car was in the traffic line an hour before the show started and we missed the whole first act. Halestorm, the second act, has a powerful lead singer in Lizzy Hale but the songs are somewhat redundant. Good musicians, great vocalist but, gets boring after about three or four songs. Sort of a nineties heavy metal grunge that sounds the same across the whole set. CFL Preseason? Never boring. A true showman. A great entertainer.
