The show itself was excellent, with some magical effects, and my 2 1/2 year old sat with her mouth open and her eyes big and wide through the whole thing. As a huge Tx2 fan, I took my 2 1/2 year old to see Tx2 in NYC on Nov 5, 2026. The music was by and large familiar and consistent with the movie, but did not exactly duplicate it. There are a couple somewhat scary parts that might frighten real little ones, so the play is not generally recommended for kids under 6. The story/production fell somewhere between the books and the movie in characters and plot details. She danced in her chair a little, clapped a little, but otherwise was just awestruck. We might even try to catch the traveling company when it comes down to the southeast. The entire showtime is just under 3 hours with a 15-minute intermission.
