Alterbridge was a little forgettable. The venue was very nice- first time I had been there and much better than Lakewood. The price for the tickets was a steal as well- I can only wish that more bands and shows would be in that range as most of the shows I want to see are $50+ a ticket and then you have to pay for parking too. Great concert- a top 5 for me. We had tickets in the covered seating area dead center. My tickets ran me $45 a piece and parking was included. Seether put on a great show- I usually have to drag my wife to these things and she really enjoyed them. Listening to Shaun Morgan is like watching the reincarnation of Kurt Cobain- and when they did their cover of Nirvana's Heart Shaped Box- well it was the closest I think I will ever come to watching Nirvana. They did an outstanding performance with their own songs as well. New York Red Bulls- those guys know how to rock, and they do it very well. They have sunk a ton of money into their props, light show, and pyrotechnics as well- I can only shudder to think of the effort alone that goes into their shows just outside of the music. And the music! My god can those guys play! They definitely owned the place. 96.1 did a damn fine job with this show- bring more bands like this back, to this venue, in the right price range and you will keep me coming back for more.
