Canadian Premiere of Tony Award-Winning Musical Kimberly Akimbo
The acclaimed musical Kimberly Akimbo, a multi-Tony award winner, is set to make its Canadian debut this November as a collaborative production between the Segal Centre for Performing Arts and David and Hannah Mirvish. The show will run at the Segal Centre in Montreal from November 23 to December 21, 2025, before moving to Toronto's CAA Theatre from January 15 to February 8, 2026. Tickets for the Toronto performances will go on sale on September 19 at 10 AM.
Featuring a star-studded cast led by the legendary Louise Pitre as Kimberly, the musical tells the poignant yet humorous story of a 16-year-old girl navigating family challenges and personal struggles in New Jersey. The production boasts a Tony-winning book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and a score by Jeanine Tesori. Directed by Robert McQueen, with choreography by Allison Plamondon, this show is a heartfelt exploration of resilience and joy amidst adversity.
